Runvord uses WireGuard, a modern and compact VPN protocol. Traffic between your iPhone and the VPN server is encrypted, so a café Wi-Fi or a hotel network sees only scrambled data going to one address.

Nothing to sign up for

No e-mail, no password, no profile. On first launch the app makes its own keys on your iPhone and is known to our servers only by a random device ID — never by your name or Apple Account.

No trail behind you

We keep no log of the websites you open, of what your traffic contains or of your DNS lookups. The app carries no advertising or tracking software.

What the app leaves on record

Recorded

  • A random device ID and the public halves of the app’s keys — so our servers can let your iPhone in.
  • Short connection reports: whether a connection worked, the server and route it used, timings and error codes, the app and iOS version and whether you were on Wi-Fi or mobile data. Kept for 30 days to fix connection problems.

Never recorded

  • Your name, e-mail address or Apple Account
  • Your IP address
  • The sites you visit, your DNS lookups or what your traffic contains
  • Contacts, photos, location or advertising identifier
